(A)  In General.  The domestic violence ground of deportability has two prongs.  The first prong provides for deportability if a noncitizen has a conviction for a listed crime involving domestic violence against a listed victim.  See § 7.148, infra.  The second prong provides for deportability for a civil or criminal court finding of a violation of a civil protection order.  See § 7.158, infra.  This discussion focuses on the conviction-based ground of deportation.
