(C)Categories of Offenses Other than CMTs Triggering Adverse Immigration Consequences.  Counsel must also bear in mind that a conviction may not constitute a CMT, but may still fall within the boundaries of a different category of offenses carrying immigration consequences, such as aggravated felonies, drug convictions, and the like.  Thus, before concluding a plea is immigration-safe, it is necessary to rule out the possibility that it may fall within any one of the many different grounds of deportation or inadmissibility.[4]
