(A) Sentence Considerations. Unlike the aggravated felony crime of violence deportation ground, the domestic violence deportation ground has no sentence requirement. Therefore, a conviction of an offense qualifying under the domestic violence conviction ground will trigger deportation regardless of sentence. None of the aggravated felony crime of violence safe havens relating to sentence will apply here. (Some sentence or other must be imposed, or the conviction will not be considered to be a conviction. See § 4.19, supra.)
