(A) Current Criminal Case. Counsel must anticipate the criminal defense of the current criminal case, and consider not only the actual charges, but potential alternative charges, and the likelihood of each as a disposition in the case, and forecast the adverse immigration consequences of each potential disposition. See § § 5.5-5.32, infra.
