In some states, statutes authorize the making of a motion to withdraw a plea or vacate a judgment on grounds similar to those outlined above in connection with pre-sentence motions to withdraw pleas. For example, California Penal Code § 1018 authorizes a motion prior to judgment or within six months after a grant of probation. See § 5.50(A), supra.
