(A)  In General.  This discussion focuses on the entry of the plea so as to avoid adverse immigration consequences.  General considerations in this process include effective use of interpreters, Chapter 4, supra, and the necessity to avoid making damaging admissions.  See § 8.40, infra.  Counsel must also consider the timing of entry of the plea, see § 8.42, infra, and the advice to the client necessary before entry of the plea.  See § 8.43, infra.
