For more text, click "Next Page>"
Counsel must, as usual, fully advise the client concerning the criminal consequences of the disposition. Because the disposition may have a great effect on whether an immigration hold is lodged against the client, the immigration consequences of the disposition will have a great and direct effect on many aspects of sentence, such as eligibility for parole, drug treatment programs, half-way houses, and the like. See § 8.53, infra, Chapter 6, supra.
