The immigration laws have made these losses permanent.  As a practical matter, once deported, it is impossible to bring a client back into the United States legally.  The process is irreversible.  The people who have been deported cannot even come back temporarily to visit, since the government feels it an unacceptable risk that they will disappear into the population and refuse to leave again once their permission is up.
