In addition to triggering deportation, an aggravated felony conviction causes many other serious immigration consequences. Many of them can be described as disqualification from eligibility for a number of different forms of relief from removal and other adverse immigration consequences in immigration court. These adverse immigration consequences are discussed in Chapter 2, Immigration Consequences of Aggravated Felonies.
