Certain safe havens apply to both grounds of deportation based on crimes of moral turpitude. In examining a particular offense or record of conviction, it is important to consider all possible safe havens, including general safe havens that apply to all or many conviction-based grounds of deportation. See § 7.106(A), infra. In addition, a conviction of an offense that is not a crime of moral turpitude does not trigger deportation under either CMT deportation ground. See § 7.106(B), infra.
