(B) Consequences of Each Possible Offense of Conviction. For each offense charged, counsel should be aware of (a) the criminal consequences, including sentence, (b) the potential and actual immigration consequences, and (c) other colleteral consequences of significance to the client. Counsel also needs to know the same information as to every lesser offense included within each offense charged. Counsel must be aware of the same information as to every other offense that might be charged against the defendant on the basis of the facts or the case, or some of those facts. Finally, counsel should be aware of the same consequences of each charge presently pending or contemplated against the defendant in any jurisdiction.
