(B) Inadmissibility. A drug trafficking offense, whether resulting in a conviction or not, can trigger inadmissibility as a controlled substances offense and a crime of moral turpitude, and provides the DHS with “reason to believe” that the noncitizen is a drug trafficker. There is little or no chance of relief in immigration court.[213] An expungement will not work to avoid inadmissibility for a drug trafficking offense.[214]
[213] See § 21.16, supra.
[214] See § 21.36, infra.
