Counsel will be experienced in arguing the equities in favor of a more favorable sentence for the defendant. For noncitizen defendants, these same equities, and more, can be argued in favor of a sentence that does not trigger adverse immigration consequences. See § 3.23, supra. See also Appendix F, infra, concerning various equitable factors to argue in connection with post-conviction relief, that also apply to sentence.
