(G)  Avoiding Illegal Re-entry Prosecution or Sentence.  Illegal re-entry following conviction of certain crimes carries serious consequences in term of prison sentences following prosecution and conviction.  An argument that a certain conviction is a safe haven — rather than an aggravated felony — if successful will significantly reduce the time a client would otherwise spend in prison.
