Inability of defense counsel to render effective assistance because of a conflict of interest.[133] Where the trial court knew, or reasonably should have known, of a conflict of interest, it was required to inquire as to the conflict, but the defendant must show adverse performance of his attorney to win reversal of conviction on this ground.[134]
