This chapter will cover how to interview the noncitizen client whose criminal history is triggering adverse immigration consequences, and who needs post-conviction relief to avoid them. Most of this chapter concerns the conduct of the client interview, but a number of special considerations may be present when the client is not a citizen of the United States.
