(B) Entry of Plea Without Admission of Guilt. While the court may be required to establish that a factual basis exists for the entry of the plea, see § 5.34, supra, it is generally possible for a defendant to enter a plea without admitting, and even while continuing to deny, factual guilt. See § 5.34(B), supra.
The factual basis can still be stated by the prosecution, without the defense agreeing or admitting that it is true.
